L.A., for the simple reason that it's an easier shoot with so many sources of equipment at their disposal, and it'll be less likely to drive them nuts. They can also hang out at Edge's place afterwards. If they don't like the result they can shoot in Vancouver (another t.v. and film hotspot) and then take a working vacation to do some editing.

I chose one of the last European shows. I think Zagreb or Wembley would be pretty cool.

Bon Jovi, Avril Lavigne, Hannah Montana... Dude, wtf is wrong with you?

He keeps an eye on the music industry, perhaps?

I'd like to see a DVD from later in the tour, but as some have already mentioned, you run the risk of the obscure interesting songs having dropped off the set by then.

Please no more US dvds. As someone who lives in the US and has seen the band overseas, our audiences (no matter what one says about how "great" their hometown crowd is) are usually too liquored up from their little pre-show parties or just too busy texting and letting everyone know they're at the show, in order to feel important, to put any kind of energy into the show. Just compare Milan's audience to Chicago's "I'm just gonna stand here motionless while they play anything except Sunday bloody Sunday/Streets/BD/Vertigo" attendees. Even the GAs sucked over here last time. Now maybe, if people stopped treating shows as a reason to ingest copious amounts of over-priced beer and use it as a "night out," things would change.

From those three, the pre-packaged saccharine crap of the music industry, but yes, the music industry, nonetheless.

Giants Stadium in NJ, USA is getting knocked down this year.  Nice venue.  If not there, then a European 100,000 seater.

Don't reckon europe has any 100,000 seat stadiums.

Sooooooo.

MCG in Melbourne 2010  ;D

zagreb would be cool, but we have the ugliest stadium of the tour  ;D
it wouldnt surprise me that the loud speakers from the Claw actually tear down the stadium  ;D

on the topic tho, i'll always vote for a European DVD, the crowd actually moves here  ;D ;D

I think it's going to be a 3D thingy again.....don't you.  DVD sales are flat now.

Perhaps they can make a 3D dvd release? I think Miley Cyrus did that with Hannah Montana.
Cheers,

J

/ontopic: Amsterdam would be great :D

U2 3D was a great movie, no question about it.  But it was not released on DVD in 3D format.

It would be great if U2 could release a movie on 3D format in DVD (meaning the buyer is supplied with glasses), so he/she can have the full effect at home in their home entertainment systems.

Miley Cyrus did this with the "Best of Both Worlds" DVD, so I am thinking maybe U2 can follow suit since someone came up with that brilliant idea.

Cheers,

J

hi all!

I picked the 3rd leg option... usually the best time. If you think about it, the best setlists usually come out them shows as most know.
Zoo TV - Live from Sydney was filmed right at the end of the Zoo TV tour (Zoomerang leg), and so included Zooropa songs. It was a great mix match i reckon. oh and its my hometown haha

Also, the last Vertigo leg in Australia & South Pacific featured I think the best setlists out of the tour... We got to see Windows, Saints and a great version of Kite. check out the bootlegs if you can. These concerts were special due to the delay and postponing of them etc. Everyone wanted and needed the shows (band and fans alike) I would say.

Generally, they should wait, but I'm all for them doing two releases (like Elevation- Boston & Go Home- Slane). haha

Hmmm, thats my thoughts anyway.

I vote Zagreb, for it would be "exotic"...  at least as far mainstream releases go:-) I generally prefer European crowds at U2 gigs, also the age average would possibly be younger and the audience better looking.

Also some friends of mine might be in the front rows then.

And if the stadium should crumble and dissappear into the Adriatic sea... (I know it's a bit further soutwest...) ;D

Both < 100,000. I'm a pedant.

Ah, but perhaps you've a point if we include field standing :-)
