Testing huge photo in signature file

I don't see a way to prevent people from putting images in their sig file. Options are, basically:

1) Eliminate all use of BBC code across the forum (you can't just do this to sig files). If we do this, then no way to make bold text, italics, and all the other formatting. Every message will look the same.

2) Make the maximum sig file size so small (maybe 10-20 characters) that it would be nearly impossible for someone to use an image in their sig file.

If we do #2, the shortest possible sig file to post an image would be like this:

visitors can't see pics , please You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login or You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login


That's 22 characters. So with a 20-character max sig file, we'd be okay. But you can't do much with 20 characters....users might not be too happy.

Wonder if we can turn signatures off altogether....

ACK! I TURNED BBC CODE OFF ALTOGETHER, AND NOW YOU CAN'T EVEN USE THE QUOTE FEATURE. THAT WON'T WORK...
