Refer to INXS - it would never work.

I can just see it now.. Bono dies, the newest hit reality show: Rock Star :U2.  :-\ Edge, Adam, and Larry are the judges, with special guest judge Michael Stipe from R.E.M.... and Michael is the only one who actually has the b*lls to give an honest opinion about the performances.  :P

EDIT: As a test, name me (especially the teens of thsi forum) three hits of Def Leopard, INXS, Bon Jovi, and Big Country since 1993. Hard pushed to name one - and they have released matrial since, and have toured!

Bon Jovi: It's My Life (2000), Have A Nice Day (2005), Who Says You Can't Go Home (2006)

I live in the states, so I don't know if they were or weren't hits where you live.

By the way, I've never heard of Big Country.

I know the title track of "It's My Life" - but never heard of the rest!! My "Being a Bon Jovi Fan" days have well gone. i could give you the track list and sing the songs for Slippery When Wet. I think Live 8 underlined my pointwith Bon Jovi and Def Leopard. They played their 80s hits..

And asked a few friends as well. "Wanted Dead or Alive" seems to be the only song that sticks in their heads... but I digress. Maybe Bon Jovi maintained their popularity that side of the water.

Big Country were huge here for a teen of the 80s. A scottish band who's singer died and whos bassist took over singing duties to this day.  As was Paul Young. Kajagogo. Culture Club. Nik Kershaw. (watch the original Live Aid while we're talking about it and most of them made an appearance!)
