I'll merge them into one thread under Best U2 Covers in General U2 Discussion section.

I was looking for a good place to put this video I just found.  I wasn't aware any full clips from this concert had been released.  Here's Alicia Keys and Kathllen Battle doing Miss Sarajevo (Vertigo tour version) for Bono in 2007:

WOW! Now I know what waterfalls, rainbows, snow and the summer breeze sound like if they were human.  :o

Such a pity that the best work out of Sixpence is not even written with them. Haunting version.

This cover is absolute perfection. It sounds like clouds floating up and up.... Though it gets boring after about 20 listens   ;D

Read somewhere that Bono said the cover above was the best.  ;D

There are quite alot of covers. Check out those by Kyle Knapp. Majority of the covers suck but there are some gems.

Can't wait for the U2 tribute concert, maybe in the next 30 years. After their deaths.  :D

U2 has influenced alot of the biggest and critical successes/bands.

They're not an easy band to cover.

SIX

Okay, the thing to understand about SIX is they're an a cappella group.  But they don't just harmonize.  They also "sing" the actual music.  They sound like a band, but don't use any instruments.  I saw them this past weekend and they sang without or without you.  It was pretty remarkable what they did.

(this one pretty much only shows one guy - you have to remember there's six guys and no instruments)
