Testing photo attachments
« on: August 24, 2008, 06:17:58 PM »
When writing your post, if you click the ADDITIONAL OPTIONS link below the text area, you can add attachments to your post. Right now, we're only supporting JPG, GIF, and PNG attachments (i.e., photos), although we could support PDF, DOC, and other file types. Not sure that's necessary, but I do want to test the photo attachments.

The current limits are pretty stringent - each photo has a max of 128k, and you can only include up to 4 attachments per post. We'll probably want to change that so people can post photos.

For me, this brings up the topic of Forum Help.  We have that built in to this tool.  Is it good enough, or do we need to build our own Help topics as well?

I think the HELP material is pretty good -- at least the stuff I've looked at. I think there's going to be a learning curve for us and the users as we go along, so we'll want to be flexible and help each other out as much as possible.
