Couldn't be easier.

Logged on at 9, snapped up cheap 35 quid seats by quarter past for opening night at O2

Even happier with that than standing as saved 50 quid.

Presale? Meh!

Tried for GA at Glasgow 2nd night. Got not available response at 09:01am !
Surely couldn't have been many left from presale.

Couldn't seem to find any GA at the O2, so we're having a trip to the first night in Glasgow instead!

Also got myself a cheap seat for the 2nd night at the O2 so I get to see both shows if they are different to each other.

Pretty quick and simple, really.

Aye I'm coming up with a blank for all GA tickets. Booo! Guess I'll be getting blasted membership for the Dublin sale.

Seems GA are gone all over Europe! Some "official" sites even had links to scalper tickets after you got a "none available". Ah well.

If all GA were sold to u2.com members don't see why they should be limited in favour of selling at general sale for non-members.

Like most football tickets these days, you join a membership scheme to get access to tickets. Good system makes it easy to buy tickets. 30 for u2.com membership is pretty decent price.

Fancy a trip to Holland so trying to get tickets for Amsterdam.... still waiting in a queue.

Also finding a lack of Standing tickets, I'm not paying 100 to sit in the gods!!

I dunno, it basically adds 30 to the ticket price. Hmmm. Anyone see any GAs left?

I'll be mighty p****d if they've kept GA's back now i've bought 2 seats for the O2 haha

Couldn't get anything for 2nd night in Glasgow except Level 3, but I did manage to get GA for the 1st night.

I'm happy with that, gut instinct was I'd rather see the 2nd night, but hard to say when we have no idea on set lists.

Hey why go for one standing ticket, when you can get two seats for almost the same price?!!

35 quid a seat to see u2 is actually a bargain, which is rare these days for gigs.

Standing can wait until the stadium gigs

I'm not that suprised given the majority of tickets were in the top price band. It's a lot to ask people to pay any time of the year for a concert, but especially so a fortnight before Christmas.

Not sure why they let you select standing tickets when they clearly are sold out.

They do seem to be, though I've never been to the O2 so I've no idea what the view / accoustics are like.

But, I'll be finding out as I wasn't going to pass up on the chance of seeing them a 2nd time for that price especially if the reports about "different shows" are right.

Been trying for seats on AXS for half an hour and it still comes up as unavailable when you select them.  I got a couple of seats from Ticketmater but they're over 100 each and up in the Gods.  Would've liked seats in front of the drum kit, and preferrably standing.  Then again, not seen U2 indoors since 2001 so...

I really wish the venues were a bit clearer.
I got tickets in the pre-sale for the O2 which are block 117. Given that the vast majority of the seating tickets are at 90 upwards to 165, Im wary that the tickets in the block next to it are just 30. Thats a dramatic drop from one block to the next and I wonder that the ends of the stage are going to be restricted somehow. If those tickets offered an unrestricted view, they would be 60 or more, surely?

Don't know, but worth a punt at those prices.

Could get one for every night at the cost of one of the so called good seats....

It's hard to imagine that the o2 can be sure which seats will be restricted view given the nature of the u2 stage which has not yet been built.

How do we know its not yet been built? Id imagine its been designed by this stage (excuse the pun), because the last thing needed would be to have to re-design the stage set for some venues because they find out that seats they have sold as unrestricted are now restricted (or that they cant sell them at all).

Well, I was speculating, you could be right.  It's just every arena is different so they'd need to do some precise calculations to work out which seats are going to have a restricted view.  Last concert I went to with a "restricted view" ticket was Kate Bush and my view was entirely unimpeded so I was bemused as to why the ticket had that status.
Title: Re: Main Sale tomorrow UK - Links

Venues tend not to sell 100% of tickets precisely because until the stage set is built and in place they can't be sure which seats will have their views restricted.

Once the stage is in place in the venue they can then check and see. Often they find they can release tickets for sale at this stage (it is worth phoning a venue before a show if you want to go but it is "sold out" through normal outlets for this reason). Alternatively, it means they have spare capacity to move people should places they thought would be ok turn out to be restricted after all.

Cant argue with that. If they are prepared to sell them at all, then you know youre going to get a view at least. And in an arena, thats not going to be too bad.

It would have to be a pretty poor stage design to create restricted views in an arena, especially in a block that is dead centre head on and high up to a normal end stage set up for example. (I realise it may not be this set up but you get my drift)

I wonder where all the GA tickets have gone. Surely they saved some from the presale?

Ticketmaster have confirmed that they had NO allocation of standing tickets for London. I have no idea why & it would have been nice if they could have told us so beforehand!

However, I did manage to get standing tickets from axs.com for 2 London gigs this morning. Sympathies with those that didn't ... I really feel for you.

My point is that if there are extra London dates added & you particularly want standing tickets you'd clearly be better off going straight to axs.com & giving Ticketmaster a miss altogether.

This process has been as frustrating & stressful as ever but I hope this information might help someone if there is another sale.

AXS are the official ticketing partner for The O2- whilst TM sell tickets for O2 events, there always appear to be more available on there.
Besides which, all the links on U2.com pointed to the AXS website too.

I have to be honest & say I've never used axs.com before so didn't really know who they were.

On U2.com, the link for 3 London dates takes you to axs.com & the 4th takes you to Ticketmaster ...
