I can't give enough praise for the visuals during UTEOTW... Bono holding the Edge in the palm of his hand, the bullet shattering the lightbulb, the flooding of Cedarwood Road, ripped pages raining down on the audience... Even Bono spitting. It's SO perfect.
I know people complain about the setlist being too static, but Iris to UTEOTW is perfect. The visuals, the theme, all of it. Could be one of the best sequences of songs the band has ever done live.

I will say in Chicago 3, my section was pretty bad in terms of energy and people sitting down and whatnot, EXCEPT during Mysterious Ways. That was the ONE song everyone just decided to let loose. So there is something to that song still.

It was cool to hear miracle drug but I have to admit city of blinding lights was better than I thought it would be . Maybe rotate them. Cobl was one of my wife's ffavorites.

Volcano was played on night 2, no California except for the obvious snippets.

Streets was great on 360 but has lost some magic this tour. Pride has really stepped back up though
Yes...Crowd reaction to Pride has been resurrected on this tour, and Streets has gone down a notch. Maybe it is placement in the setlist? The Mother and Child portion is very good, but it seems to shorten the synth intro into Streets.

I wish I could cut and paste his account but I can't seem to do it so I'll just try to remember what he said:
-He was in the Red Zone and said hi to Ali and Guy Oseary and Chris Rock. He asked Guy to bring U2 to Manila to which Guy just gave him a pat of acknowledgement and a half-smile. Just FYI, Madonna is scheduled to perform in Manila this February.
-He loved Springsteen going up onstage.
-40 was so intense, that the concert-goers were still singing it all the way to 7th and 33rd street (not sure where or what that is or what he meant by that, I haven't been to NY in 20 years)
