Picked up this U2 shirt today, at WALMART of all places!!
I was totally surprised to see it there.. and it was only 10 BUCKS!!!
And if that's not good enough, it comes with a FREE subscription for 12 issues of Rolling Stone Magazine. No strings attached.

wtf?
-
Yeah that was my first reaction when I saw it haha.
-
I heard there was a Bono shirt somewheres at Marshals.
-
Still better than the most recent RS cover.
-
I grabbed a shirt. Nobody told me about the RS subscription though.

MJ, are they really that orange-red color? I was gonna ask Rob if there was some weird filter on his camera when he took the pic.
-
Yes, that's the color.
They also have AC/DC, Kid Rock, Nirvana, plain guitar and amp and others as well. My store had them on a table in the men's department. You do get a year subscription to Rolling Stone for buying it too.

No way. :o I'm running out there to get one tomorrow. Hope my WalMart is carrying them. I'll come & post here tomorrow if I find one.
-
I think I'll snag one too. Hopefully they'll have 2X or 3X.

They're a bit more on the red side than my picture shows. My flash brightened it up a little.
A really cool shirt for Walmart though. It's got a soft, thin, vintage look and feel to it.

Word up, Rob. Good enough for me. Thanks!
-
I agree, they are more red than shown here.
The cost is $10 up to XL and $12 for sizes above that. I thought the price was reasonable but wish it came in a different color. Red is the only option for U2.
-
Nice find, Rob. :-)
Someone remind me to run out to WM tomorrow at lunch, please? Kthxbai.
-
Well I know where I'm going when I get off work. Thanks for the info !
-
Got mine a couple of weeks ago....didn't know about the subscription til I got home....good deal/shirt
-
I didn't find the shirt on their website. I also live kinda far from WalMart so there is a low chance of me getting one. Honestly, I find WalMart a little scary too.

Scary? Really?
-
so where are you guys from who got the shirts at walmart, the reason I ask is the midwest gets things slower and sometimes not at all
-
OMG, I just bought that same shirt and wore it to a U2charist my youth group put on! And I'm taking full use of the Rolling Stone subscription (now THAT'S what I call promotion - instead of making people pay to advertise for you, give them a real incentive to buy your crap)(not that the shirt's crap, of course.)
-
What???...................
*grabs keys and runs out door...........*

I'm in SE Wisconsin. We have a Super Walmart in my town-and it's not scary at all! ;D

Hey Joe, I picked one up and it had the tag for the subscription, but it said if the tag was missing just send your receipt to them and they will set you up with a free subscription......I can post the address if you like?
-
I saw this shirt at my Wal-mart, but I didn't really like the all the red on it, and plus I have college and a good car that I have to save up for :D so I passed on buying it
-
Hey R7, how you been? when is the graduation date?
-
Hey One Tree Hill! I'm doing fantastic! Graduation is tomorrow!!!! 8)
How have you been?

Yes scary. I don't think everyone would understand or appreciate my reasons for thinking it is scary though.

No problem!
And also for whoever asked, I got mine in New Jersey.

I just found that card on the second shirt I bought. Looks like I'm set!
-

That is where I'll get mine! It is a very cool shirt from a place I wouldn't expect it! I had so much trouble finding a U2 shirt outside of U2.com!
-
My best friend suprised me a month ago and mailed this shirt to me. What a suprise this was!!!!
-
I was going to post this find, but Robbankrobber, beat me to it. It's a very cool shirt, much more red than the picture shows. it's very vintagey looking. And a free subscription to RollingStone. What a steal!
-
I'm considering calling the WalMart closest to me to see if they have it. Maybe my grandma can pick it up for me.
-
Picked up one of these shirts this morning. 8)
Thanks so much for the heads-up, RBR! :)
-
*will go to Walmart now*
So it's in the men's department? Hope I can fit into a small...
-
I called the WalMart near me. The said that they probably don't have it any more. It's actually been sort if a drama. I'll call the other near by stores.
-
EdgeGott, if you can't find one, let me know. PM me your size and address and I'll see if I can send you one. My Wal-Mart still had some as of today.

Hi yooper! I tried looking online and could not find it. Is it in the men's dept? I may take you up on grabbing me one !!! ;D
-

Thanks for the offer. I told my mom about the shirt today. She said to just give up on it. In the scheme of things it's not a huge deal. Thanks for the offer though.
-
SG and EG, i can do this. It is in the men's dept., SG. It's only $10, and pretty darn cool looking. Let me know. i'd be happy to help another U2er any way I can!

I'll check online in the men's dept later yooper. If I don't find it I'll pm you in the morning and perhaps you could pick it up for me! I am not sure about size. I don't like it too tight or too loose. If it is a men's then I think a small may be OK.
Thanks so much yooper! I'll let you know.
-
Great find! I'm definitely going to go tomorrow and look for one. ;D
-
I went to look at my local Walmart and there was nothing :'(

Meanwhile, none of you reminded me about it and I still haven't run over to our WalMart to see if it's there. Maybe tomorrow if I can remember on my own. ;)
-
*thinks M2 should read his own forum once in a while*

Oh sorry m2! Actually I just found out about it not too long ago myself. I just got done telling a forum member that I never found any U2 shirts outside of their official store and all of a sudden news of U2 shirt at Walmart breaks :o :o :o :o :o!!!
Walmart ??? ??? ??? It took me a day to get over the shock of it! ;D ;D ;D ;D
REMINDER - m2 - GO TO WALMART FOR U2 SHIRT TODAY!!!!!!
You have been reminded ;)
-
Thanks for the reminders, gang - just got one for me, and one for my 11-year-old son. Little big for him, but he'll grow into it.
They're really quite red, and a little bit washed out, too.
-
Now that I have reminded you, I can't seem to find one LOL ;D ;D ;D!
This is New York for heaven's sake!!!! I have a VIP forum member trying to get one for me! ;)
-
Just got mine. Pretty cool.
-
wishin' there's Walmart here in my area. :'(
-
I'm guessing that none of you that have found these are writing from Canada. Although I'm hoping I'm wrong about that...
-
Aaaaaaaa!!!! Must run to Walmart!!!!
-
Yay! My mom just found one for me today at a Wal-mart in Colorado. Thanks for the heads up guys!
-
Darn, I had a really busy day planned, but I'll end up visiting all the walmarts in the area instead.
-
I'm not in Canada? I'm in Texas.. anyway, Found them, they're cool, they're definately red though. & they DO come with the Rolling Stone subscription. There's supposed to be a card attatched to the shirt that tells you about the subscription.
-
Speaking of the RS subscription, does anyone want my card? I'm not gonna use it for the free subscription, so if someone else wants it, speak up. The card says "new subscribers and USA only."
-
my walmart has about 10 shirts, all sizes up to xxl. if i can pick one up for anyone, please let me know. also, being a rs subscriber, cannot use the card. anyone?
-
Yay! Got mine! (((hugs shirt))) not my color, but my boys!
-
Walmart is ruining this country! I will NEVER go to Walmart for anything!
-
danrice have you ever heard this joke?
A teacher asks her class "Who can tell me, who is the greatest man that ever lived? If you can answer the question I will give you this delicious apple."
A Muslim boy stands up and says "Muhammad". "Sorry" says the teacher, "Anyone else?"
A Buddist boy raises his hand and says "Buddha". "Sorry" says the teacher.
A Jewish boy raises his hand and says "Jesus Christ". "Here is the apple" says the teacher, "But tell me why did you say that? I wouldn't expect a Jewish boy to give that answer". The boy replied "Ma'am, personally I think Moses was a much greater man, but business is business" ;)
-
Ugh! I hate WalMart! The sacrifices we make for our boys... ;)
-

That does sound nerve wracking. I don't think that type of stuff is scary. I think it is scary for other reasons.
-
Thanks for the heads' up! I went to Wal-Mart the other day and picked on up. Great stuff. ;D
-
I went 2 days ago and all they had was a crapload of Family Guy shirts, a Nirvana shirt, 2 Ghostbusters shirts and a Legend of Zelda one. Either I got there late, or they never got them. :'(

There were about 6 different styles where I was; one was Johnny Cash and I saw Led Zeppelin too. But my eyes went right to the red. :)

Hi Star!! Yes, BLACK always BLACK!!!!!! My closet looks like the midnight sky! :D
-
ok is the Johnny Cash one everyone talking about the one of a close up of just his face? or the full body shot? a friend of mine wants one of the Johnny Cash ones and asked me........I didn't see a Led Zepplin one?
-
I don't know yet, I only saw the sticker for the Johnny Cash shirt. My friend up north said she's seen it and will pick me up one. When I get it I'll report back.
I was a HUGE Johnny Cash fan in high school and college-to the extent it was my nickname. Mind you, this was in 1972! It shocked my socks off when I heard Wanderer the first time. So I really have to get that shirt!

Johnny Cash rocks, birdlover! It is so funny though to hear my 10 year old playing all his stuff! Most kids his age are not playing Ring of Fire!!! :D!
-
I bet he's great! I got to see the Man in Black in concert 13 times in my teens. He was truly a major influence on my life. It's so nice to see he's still appreciated.

OTH the Johnny Cash one is a close up of his face if I remember correctly, nicely done.

In Ireland we dont have Walmart at all, and I went shopping for a U2 t shirt this weekend. My supplies of U2 t shirts are from my teenage days in the 80s and are now being worn my my kids (they wouldnt fit me anyway!). Guess what? Not a single shop sold U2 t shirts! In Dublin of all places. Now unless there's some backstreet under the counter venue everyone else but me knows about, you can't buy a U2 t shirt in the shops in Dublin! They were everywhere way back when I was young! sigh

Hi Davey!
trust me it is not such a bad thing not to have even one Walmart at all in Dublin!!
Sorry about the shirts, that stinks, you would think they would have something, I bet as the concert series gets closer and more tourists are coming over for the show there will be more for sale?
Did you try the internet? or here there are some actual "record shops" on the college campus that has some "vintage" stuff *sighs over the fact that her high school era is considered "vintage"*

actually I live near a university - I might go a wandering there this evening.
I'm apparently very vintage, so I get keep being told. 80s memoribillia is not cool for 15 year olds these days lol

WTF?!?!?! I'm just now reading about this!
U2 in Wal-Mart?!?!?!
I swore I'd never step into that store ever again.
Wish they had these in Target.
Remember U27?
*sigh*
I miss those days.
Fudge...gotta step into a Wal-Mart...damn it.

I *just* saw this tee today at Rue 21. As I was not in "personal shopping mode" I passed. Rue 21 price is $15.99 and NO RS subscription. They had the Aerosmith, Jimmy Hendrix and Stones versions but I didn't see any of the others mentioned. Sadly when I saw those I thought, man, these guys are either savvy cash machines or have simply become a commodity (prolly a little of both). Then, whoa!, there were the boys up there on a display with stunningly ubiquitous wrinkly button down shirt. Hmmmm. I had to rethink that whole commodity/cash macnine thought for a sec.
I don't know if my mind has changed but this was the first time I've seen our boys jump into this fray. Dunno. Maybe we'll start seeing old War or Joshua Tree tees next to all the Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Kiss, et al. tees. It'll be another way for an increasingly aging U2 (gasp!) to keep in front of teens and 20-somethings.
Plus Rolling Stone mag has a few interesting things going on here too: selling their old covers AND coming up with a unique subscription promotion. It's a new revenue stream for them. From a fan's perspective, you KNOW U2 will get a cover in the next 12 months and a freebie Rolling Stone U2 mag is worth $5 right there. Coming from a marketing guy, this is quite the cross-promotion for a paper magazine in an era where most all print mags are dying on the vine. They need cash and subscribers, this might help with both.
Of course, with all that said, I can't say that I won't be heading to Walmart tomorrow. I have the perfect button down wrinkly shirt to wear it with...

i went to walmart yesterday and there they were so i got mine!
$10 and a subscription to RS - that's a deal - get on it everyone!
-
I got my shirt.
I'm happy.
;D
-
What section is it in. I did not find it in the men's section.
-
I'd love to have this shirt. Alas, the WalMart were I live is (as monolithic, soulless supermarkets go) extremely uncultured and has nothing close to this shirt in the Men's department. If someone can help me out, I'd be up for working out some type of way wherein I could pay you back for your trouble.
A pox on thee, Walmart.
-
I'd be glad to help you out, mac. Last time i was there, they still had some size large left. just give me the word, and I'll pick one up for you!
-
What section is it in. I did not find it in the men's section.
It's in the men's department. The shirts are on a table rack with a very tiny RS ad sign on top. I walked right by it myself too. If it had been a snake, it would have bitten me. Just before I asked where it was at, I looked around slowly again one rack at a time and finally found it. It doesn't stand out very well. The shirts were folded in half lying flat on the stack of tables. That's why you can see it from a distance. Again, look for the itty bitty RS mag ad sign and you'll find them.

A plague on all your monolithic, soulless houses, Sam Walton!!!! Of course I say this after I got my shirt. :-\

The local Walmarts here haven't had it yet, either.
That means another trip there. *shudders*

Hey Davey- I was just reading that Walmart operates as Asda in the UK-- if you have one of those, maybe they have the shirt.
Like someone else said-- I wish they were selling these at Target instead. I rarely shop at Walmart. Guess I will not be purchasing this shirt. Target is cleaner and has a better track record on employee relations. The following story is one that has really stuck with me in regards to Walmart.
"Brain-damaged woman at center of Wal-Mart suit." ... "[Debbie] Shank suffered severe brain damage after a traffic accident nearly eight years ago that robbed her of much of her short-term memory and left her in a wheelchair and living in a nursing home." ... "It was the beginning of a series of battles -- both personal and legal -- that loomed for Shank and her family. One of their biggest was with Wal-Mart's health plan." ... "Eight years ago, Shank was stocking shelves for the retail giant and signed up for Wal-Mart's health and benefits plan." ... "Two years after the accident, Shank and her husband, Jim, were awarded about $1 million in a lawsuit against the trucking company involved in the crash. After legal fees were paid, $417,000 was placed in a trust to pay for Debbie Shank's long-term care." ... "Wal-Mart had paid out about $470,000 for Shank's medical expenses and later sued for the same amount. However, the court ruled it can only recoup what is left in the family's trust." ... "The Shanks didn't notice in the fine print of Wal-Mart's health plan policy that the company has the right to recoup medical expenses if an employee collects damages in a lawsuit." ... "In 2007, the retail giant reported net sales in the third quarter of $90 billion." -CNN

If we were to pour over the dirty laundry of most retail giants you would be shocked at what goes on , not only with the associates but the countries where most things are made these days (far east) it's all about decidin how much hypocrisy you can live with as well as afford........we live in a fallen world but we are the lights that can light our little part of it....oops sorry didn't mean to get preachy......

But, Walmart did this crap for years, acting like they were doing nothing wrong when they got called out on it. Rule Number 1. Stay far away from any corporation operated by Ultra Right Wing Conservative Christians who pays women less and force employees to work off the clock. Granted, other companies do shady stuff, but Walmart is the ultimate piece of crap. Personally, if they failed for some reason during the economic down-turn. I would drive to Arkansas myself to laugh at the executives.

Reminds me of one time when I went into Walmart with a friend of mine who is an attorney, we went in simply to annoy the management.
Manager: "Can I help you?"
My friend: "Yes you can sir! How much less do you pay women at this particular Walmart as compared to the others?!"
The manager had this crazy look of shock, that TWO MALES were asking this question...in the middle of his morning staff meeting (which was being held in the aisle).
As we walked away I said "You know you can sue them right, ladies?"
Then we left. :D

please replace with "religious types" bein a believer I object to bein lumped in with these folks that are lost in their religion and have no concept of of the realtionship that Christ asks for. As for "wally world" if someone could create a store where those in financial hardship could shop and where the workers arer paid a fair wage than that would be a succesful store in deed !!!
-
what really bothers me about walmart is that they will put one of those super-stores anywhere and totally choke out the mom and pop stores that have been around for 50 years. in some small towns everything is gone - except walmart. it is very sad. if, or should i say when, walmart fails the people in those kind of towns will be screwed.

I don't think that should have been read as offensive, or was intended as offensive, unless one would be descriving oneself as an "Ultra Right Wing Conservative Christian", which you don't appear to be - just a "regular" believer as such. The point, I believe was about the mindset of Ultra Right Wing Conservative Christians than Christians in general.
-
I understand why it may have bothered you zip. There are many conservative Christians who are kind hearted and generous people. Unfortunately, that label has come to be known as a bad one because of the acts of some (like the Walmart people).
It happens every where with every group of people. I just hope that people in general judge each person they meet as individuals and NOT merely as part of the group they are lumped into. I will continue to believe that good will always triumph over evil! Some will call me a dreamer I suppose. So be it.
Now back to that U2 Tee Shirt!!! ;D
-
here here !!! the great wal mart debate is for either another thread or a totally different forum board
-
Hi y'all, I'm a newbie here.
I couldn't find the shirt at my local Walmart either :'(
If anyone has an extra RS coupon that they don't need, I'd love to get one.
Thanks!
-
I haven't been to my Wal-Mart yet to check it out.
-
the thing about the Rolling Stone subscription that is great is that you don't even have to send a reciept or anything - just send in the card!
that's trust - you could easily go in and just take a card without buying a shirt!
-
O o ?!
_____
Dang! I wanna find cool U2 shirts at Wally World... :'(
-
I'm surprised U2 let this happen...a shirt for sale specifically at Walmart?! This is crazy. What is going on with U2's marketing?! It's like they hired someone that Chris Martin recommended with the intentions of infiltrating and sabotaging them.
They have had some of the worst marketing I've seen lately...weird decisions. Shame, as the album is outstanding.
-
This proves my distaste for Walmart. I wouldn't even buy a U2 shirt there.
-
i would and did
-
LOL! I took a look at this thread and thought "9 Pages? It must be an amazing shirt..."
:D :D :D
-
I got to wear mine to work today because it was causal day. ;D ;D However, to my dismay.. no one told me how incredibly cool I was!! >:(
By the way.. U2 didn't specifically market the shirt to Wal Mart.. the t-shirt is an old Rolling Stone magazine cover, just like the other ones.. There are several different ones.. I remember a Nirvana one?, Johnny Cash?, etc etc.. U2 probably barely knows about it, if they know about it at all, seeing how Rolling Stone owns the rights to the magazine cover picture.. so try not to say our boys are corporate pigs just yet. ;)
-
Yeah, I'm sure your right, BeneatheNoise. The shirt had nothing to do with U2, and everything to do with Rolling Stone.
-
The shirt had nothing to do with U2, and everything to do with Rolling Stone.
That's correct. U2 did not need to give approval for the shirt. The image belongs to Rolling Stone and they are free to market their magazine and album covers however they want. Do you think the Pittsburgh Penguins have to give approval for Sports Illustrated to sell the commemorative issue they're about to start selling? No, they don't.
-
Love my shirt (for $10)....and my first (free) issue of RS came yesterday!

This complaint should be directed to Rolling Stone.
-
yeah your right from what i'm told. I guess I'll let U2 complain. They're big boys.
And hey, at least the band didn't do a concert in a Walmart! K-mart was class all the way, lol.
-
I don't know if my mind has changed but this was the first time I've seen our boys jump into this fray. Dunno. Maybe we'll start seeing old War or Joshua Tree tees next to all the Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Kiss, et al. tees. It'll be another way for an increasingly aging U2 (gasp!) to keep in front of teens and 20-somethings.
i bought the war shirt thats on U2's site at hot topic today...next to pink floyd, aerosmith, zepelin, and a few others like you mentioned...
o.O
-
Everybody hurry up and get your shirt if you want one. I had bought two, one for me and one for a friend, she wanted a different size, so I went back two days later and they were all gone at both walmarts I went to. Now they are showing up on EBAY, starting bid....$25.00 !!!!!
-
I was at my Walmart today (SE Wisconsin) and there is still quite a pile of U2 shirts there, as well as a decent selection of the others. The clerk I asked a few weeks ago said they'd be getting them all summer.
I am still looking for a Johnny Cash one, though. Those haven't come back in yet.

ok, i'm at walmart today and in the women's section they have rolling stone bags for $12, LARGE bags with the magazine covers, like the tshirts in the men's section! only they are different covers than the tshirts but still have the free RS subscription! i couldn't find a U2 one but i did get the fly bono one march 1993 - excellent!

Hi Birdlover. I just got a really nice Johnny Cash t shirt for my 11 year old son on the official Johnny Cash website. They have quite a selection and the prices are reasonable. It is a bit more than Walmart prices but they are much nicer. Try it!

Thanks, StrongGirl! My friend just found me one at Walmart and is sending it on. I'll have a look at the Cash website too. Can't have too many tee shirts!
Thanks again!
And now it looks like I have to hit Walmart again. :D Thanks Niterpi!

A Bono bag!!! :o Must get to Wal-Mart pronto! Thanks for the tip Niterpi!

really? I hope mine comes soon, sent it in like 2 months ago (maybe not quite that long) :-\
-
I got 2 of the bags yesterday-they also had one with johnny depp on it. In the corner it had a headline "Michael Jackson on Trial" those will get snatched up. I didn't buy it though.
-
I looked but my Walmart didn't have any of them. :'( Even the clerks had no idea where they'd be.
I'm in SE Wisconsin hoping they're just late getting here.
Birdlover
-
i went to a different walmart yesterday 3 miles away from the other walmart and all they had were jonas brothers bags. it is crazy how every walmart is different ???
-
well on one side of the Mississippi where I live they had many of the bags. On the other side of the river last night, I stopped for some snacks, thought I would take a look....the only ones they had left (snicker-snicker) were the Jonas Bros ones....I was sad i wanted to show the friend I was with. I did buy another U2 tee shirt though....this was in Illinois...
-
I got a shirt today in NJ. But did not see any bags. :-[
-
I should mention that the bags are no where near the tee shirts in Walmart-but you probably all knew that! But for those who are going later on...they are on an end cap near the purse and accessory section.
-

Thanks for more info...but I assumed they were in the purse assessory section. I didn't see them. Are they more like a big bag to carry stuff or more like a purse?
-
I found the tshirts! I don't wear red, so I think I'm going to make a black bag and safety pin the shirt onto it. I found the big bags. I didn't see U2, but there was an empty peg. I'm going to look at another Walmart or two tomorrow. I don't shop at Walmart so I have to look up where they're located.
-
I went looking for my U2 bag, but my Wal-Mart only had the JoBros, Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain. :'( I will keep checking. The bags are big, like a tote bag. But nice looking.
-
Jimi Henrix, Curt Cobain only. T-shirts galore no bags :(
-
I got a U2 shirt. I found the bags, but no U2 bags. I checked another WalMart and only found America's Next Top Model bags. I'm not going to wear the tee, so I think I'll make a black bag and safety pin the tee print onto it.
-
I STILL see plenty of the bags AND t-shirts at the Wal Mart closest to me.. it's crazy that y'all cannot find them where you live, because I live in this town in the middle of nowhere with a population of a little under 25,000. Anyways.. I'm going to wait until the bags go on clearance like the t-shirts.. t-shirts are down to $7 at our Wal Mart now. ;D
-
I got my bag! it's very cool. I'll try to post a picture later.
-
This is making it difficult for me to keep my "no shopping at Wal-Mart" resolution!!!
-
I found the bag! Now I want to turn it into a pillow purse so I can sit on it while waiting in the GA line. It's easy to do, but I wonder if Soldier Field will let me bring it in. It's pretty big: 16" square.
Any thoughts?
Birdlover

*runs and runs and runs and runs to Wal-Mart*
*realizes it would have been SO much faster to drive*

-
My favorite thing about the shirt: Neil Young's on it, too.
-
still haven't received my RS mag either whats going on ???
-
It usually takes a few weeks at the least, sometimes over a month, for them to process the orders.
-
I got my mag...2 so far..takes a while, not too long though...month?
-
no magazine for me yet >:(

Don't ask why I was in Hot Topic. *shudders*

i tried it on while my family was in a walmart on the way to florida, i was so disappointed, it was red/almost pink and the material was crappy and its was poorly cut. :-\

They had it in your little landlogged town Boom? and not in my more progressive town at the mall they call "The Fashion Place"? I will have to order it online.

OTH, Amish don't buy U2 shirts, even though it's black, that's why they have an aboundance of it where Boom is.

I guess I don't get it. I go to Hot Topic all the time and I've never seen anything that bad in there. They treat me like I'm a teen. I love it!
Now, Spencers can be dicy.

Yay! Converse high-five! (I'm a bit obsessed... I currently have 6 pairs... :D )
-
Aren't they wonderful? I have feet that are really hard to fit and I'm delighted with them. I'm afraid I'm now addicted to the "Make Mine (Red)" on their site and happily design shoe after shoe. Someday I'll have to start ordering them. :-[
If you spotted Edge's 'new' ones on the Jonathan Ross show, I do believe they are the polka dotted design on the site.
I got the first pair at Hot Topic because I could try them on there. The young people that work there are super nice to us 'oldies but goodies'.
Sorry about the thread jack...

None in the Hot Topic near me. :( The girl was very helpful even though I couldn't keep my eyes off her tattoos and piercings, there were more than I could number. She told me they haven't gotten it in yet, so to keep checking. :-\

Boom Cha! you are too young. For us OLC members this is what every record store was like back in the day, all those kinds of t-shirts PLUS music!!! it was before corporate BS took over!!

i still have not got my RS yet ???
do you suppose they don't want to send it because i have a PO box instead of an address???
-
It's been a long time when I bought this t-shirt in local Walmart. I am lucky because there is still one available when I went there. Many people are also there to buy at that time.
-
Has anyone noticed that Kmarts here in USA are advertising the Coexist on there sales for going back to school & college?
-
I am going to have to check out my local Walmart. Hate the store, but a U2 tee shirt is worth it! Thanks for the info.
-
Picked up this U2 shirt today, at WALMART of all places!!
I was totally surprised to see it there.. and it was only 10 BUCKS!!!
And if that's not good enough, it comes with a FREE subscription for 12 issues of Rolling Stone Magazine. No strings attached.
Run out and get one while they're available!

I can report I just saw these at the Walmart here in Edmonton...but I don't know how long they have been available here in Canada. (Sorry I didn't go back to read the whole thread if someone already saw them)
I should mention they are very...um....thin. They look rather cheaply made and are already twisting and not very well cut. But that is just my opinion.
-
I have two of them that I wear constantly and they've held up very well. They've not been in my Walmarts since last fall, though.
